| ***car is located in northern california but i have family in LA and am willing to drive the car down***inline-6 turbo diesel w/ 4-speed automatic transmission. i get 35mpg highway/28 city in this cartags current till sept 2010 with clean title!**177k original miles**4 door sedanpower lockspower windowsA/Cgood brakes2 new tires, front 2 are close to newcd player stereowell kept, owned by a diesel lover and mechanicno blow-by, good compressionno excessive smoke (only typical cold start smoke and acceleration)newer exhaust (quiet, cant tell its a diesel inside)tight transmission (recently serviced &flushed)lots of power. not slow like the 4 and 5-cylinder mercedes benz dieselsparts are readily available for this engine since its actually a VW engine. it was used in commercial applications in europe.its almost the same vw 1.6 engine (in rabbits, golfs, jettas) but with 2 added cylinders and a TURBO!the only issues these older volvos have (mostly 240s) is engine wiring, but since this is a mechanical injected diesel engine there is no wiring for the engine. just starter, alternator and fuel cut off (start, stop)these engines are tough like MBZ diesels when running veggie oil, SVO, WVO, etc.might be interested in a trade for a 4x4 SUV like a toyota 4runner (22re not 3VZ-E) 5-speed izuzu trooper 92+ 5-speedmitsubishi monterojeep XJ cherokee (inline 6) no v8707-328-62498am-10pm text OK email OKPLEASE, NO flakes &NO tire kickersdiesel turbo turbodiesel vw biodiesel bio bio-diesel veg veggy veggie wvo svo mpg trade 4x4 |
